On Saturday, February 6, 2021, guest speaker Dr. Hannah Graham spoke to our education community regarding common questions and concerns on receiving the the COVID-19 vaccine. Attendees were able to learn about the current vaccines, their safety, and benefits for individuals and society. For those unable to attend, as well as those who would use this as a resource, we are including a recording of the webinar. We have also attached a list of resources Dr. Graham referred to during the webinar.
On September 16, 2020, the LCMS Northern Illinois District hosted a webinar that explored how COVID-19 has influenced the well-being of children as a result of learning in virtual classrooms and being quarantined to their homes.
On August 11, 2020, the LCMS Northern Illinois District hosted a webinar that explored healthy responses to the real challenges of moving through the days of Covid, underscoring how our thoughts and our choices influence our effectiveness and sense of well-being.
Dr. Beverly Yahnke is a psychologist serving DOXOLOGY as the Executive Director for Christian Counsel. From 2010-2015, she served as the Chair and Professor of Psychology at Concordia Wisconsin. Previously, Dr. Yahnke spent over 25 years in private practice serving church workers and their families in the clinical group she founded in Milwaukee. Dr. Yahnke has written numerous articles about psychology, education and faith, and is a frequently invited speaker for clergy and educator conferences. She serves as an elected member of Concordia Theological Seminary’s Board of Regents.
