Go and Be Reconciled: What Does This Mean?

Vision and Theme: This year’s GPC will continue our aim to provide practical, theologically-grounded presentations and conversations for our NID pastors, equipping you with resources that you can take back to your local ministry setting. Our plenary speaker, Dwight Schettler, will lead the group in the “Go and Be Reconciled: What Does This Mean?” seminar in sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will study key Scripture passages and acquire new tools for remembering the basic principles of reconciliation and applying them in everyday conflicts. Our workers will be challenged in the same way to live, proclaim, and cultivate lifestyles of reconciliation in the family, workplace, and church.
We also invite our pastors to take full advantage of this time apart from life in the congregation to enjoy fellowship with brothers in ministry this spring. LCEF will once again graciously host a social event on Monday evening in advance of the conference proper. We plan to gather for corporate worship to share our Lord’s gifts of Word and Sacrament on Tuesday and join in a celebration banquet Tuesday evening. As you are able, please consider staying at Lake Lawn on both Monday and Tuesday night to make the most of the conference experience. We’re planning for the event to conclude by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday to allow plenty of time to return for midweek commitments.
