We are blessed by God to be a blessing to others, in serving our neighbors nearby or in neighborhoods across the world. The “Hearts for Jesus” program is a tremendous way to support others as Jesus is shared with our neighbors in Belize.
This is the fourth year the NID has supported the mission work in Belize through “Hearts for Jesus.” During the first year, we supported the feeding program in Seine Bight so that the little children were provided with nutritious food each day. In the second year, our offerings contributed to the school scholarship fund so students were able to continue their education. The focus last year was on the building and opening of the Mercy House next door to Christ Lutheran Church. What a true joy it is this year to share our “Hearts for Jesus” offerings toward the expansion of the feeding program in the village of Georgetown. May God bless both the offerings gathered and the children who will receive these nutritious meals.
Our schools and many congregations in the LCMS Northern Illinois District have been so very generous through these past years. We are thankful to be able to provide ongoing support and to watch as God continues to use the offerings to His glory.
