Christians in a Woke World: A Call to Courage, Confession, and Love
Speakers: Dr. J.A. Pagán, Founder and Chief Instructor of The Institute for Intellectual Formation & Skeptical Inquiry, and Rev. Paul W. Dare, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church and School, Alexandria, MN
Systemic racism, privilege, political correctness, woke, anti-racist, social justice are common words in the world today. What comes to mind when you hear them? Are you able to accurately define them? Does the world feel divided along the lines of race, gender, religion, and income? Does it seem to you that young people are often losing their Christian faith while attending college and coming out as political activists? Do you think people desire to be considered a victim or part of a victim group?
To understand our world and answer these questions, a Christian in today’s America must understand Neo Marxism, which is often called Cultural Marxism. This conference will seek to enhance the pastoral understanding of this, the predominant ideology of our day, while equipping pastors with a Bible Study for their people.
Dr. J.A. Pagán will lead us in a study of the historical and philosophical underpinnings of Cultural Marxism. Following him, Pastor Paul Dare, of Zion Lutheran Church and School, Alexandria, MN, will be leading us in a Bible Study he created for laity on Cultural Marxism.
