The Central, Northern & Southern Illinois Districts invite you to a time of retreat this fall with your colleagues in ministry.
The Illinois DCE Retreat will be from Sunday, November 1, 2026 through Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Camp CILCA, 4124 Camp CILCA Road, Cantrall, IL 62625 (about 15 minutes north of Springfield). We are pleased to have a time to connect together, be in God’s Word & mutual fellowship, enjoy a time of rest & respite, and have a time of teaching on helping us, and thus us helping others, understand what it means in our day and age to stay connected to Christ in community.
Rev. Brian Davies, author of the book “Connected to Christ: Overcoming Isolation through Community,” will be our primary teaching leader. Pastor Brian serves as pastor at Lord of Glory Lutheran Church in Grayslake, IL and as chaplain for two area fire departments. He is married to his wife, Elizabeth, who serves as the Mayor of Grayslake. Together they have three children: Kate, Megan, and Luke.
The cost for the retreat is $125 with each participant asked to purchase the “Connected to Christ” book in order to read it before the retreat. Participants will also receive a copy of Rev. Brian’s book, “Captivating Conversations.” Online registration will be available beginning September 9, 2026 with a deadline of October 19, 2026.
Begin working your communication process with your leadership, and intentionally plan to take a time of extended sabbath so that you might be refreshed to continue serving the Lord into the future.
